The Beginning of the Cannon Bar...
We love to travel, eat good food, and see new places. While we were traveling around New Zealand
and checking out the sights, we found it difficult to find a quality snack food that we could eat
while we were traveling and tramping. So we decided to take things into our own hands and make a
truly healthy,delicious, and high quality snack bar. And from there, the Cannon Bar was born. Its
been tweaked and refined over the last couple of years, and now we have a product we are truly proud
of.
Finger Lickin BBQ Sauce
This sauce has its roots set in America. It was inspired by a friends father. He would tell
stories of trading BBQ recipes under the oak trees of Oaklahoma. There are some special things he
would do to make his BBQ sauce taste just right. So we asked him if he would mind sharing some
of his secrets with us so we could make it in New Zealand. He was delighted. So we have applied his
secrets to our sauces and we have truly come up with something special. We traveled around NZ for the
last three years and have yet to find anything that can compare to this beautiful, smooth and smoky
sauce.
Make any meal Great with Teriyaki
While we were living over seas, fine Japanese cuisine was a favorite food of ours. We were able to
buy a teriyaki sauce there that we used about 3 nights a week when we would cook at home. We
couldn't find anything that was nearly as good on the shelves in New Zealand, so again we decided
to make our own, but just a little bit better than the one we would use. Our
teriyaki sauce is made with an Organic, wheat free, tamari soy sauce. And all the garlic and ginger
we put in is fresh crushed. You can really taste the difference.
